Hi everyone! My name is Nick Flannery. I am 22 years old and am an artist/musician. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from St. Thomas Aquinas College. Some of my hobbies include, juggling, music, video games, and making videos on Youtube.

I have been committed to art for eight years now and throughout this time, During my time as a student, I’ve always had a hard time deciding my career in the future. What I mean by that is that throughout my growth as a Graphic Designer, I’ve been focusing primarily on different mediums of art that I could continue to work on after graduation. It is normal to not know what you really want to do or to feel like you’re not on the right path. Most people go through this phase so it’s important to know that you are not alone.

In the meantime, I decided to focus heavily on my classes. One of the great things about being an art major was that I was free to use my imagination on so many occasions. People view art differently and I surprised myself with the number of ideas I came up with. Even if I wasn’t super passionate about some of my work, I still had fun making a lot of the projects. It was probably the best thing for me to work on myself because over the last few years my confidence has grown tremendously.

Self-esteem was something that I had struggled with a lot throughout my life. As I progressed through college I learned about the importance of celebrating my small victories. For example, being proud of semester grades or putting together a great art project. As far as the future is concerned, that is still to be determined. As long as I keep experimenting, I know I’ll find something that’s for me.
